Getting Started!
Pelvic Floor Muscle Therapy (PFMT) services are typically initiated once your physician has determined that your condition necessitates it.*
PFMT is a treatment approach one would try prior to
committing to surgery or other invasive treatments for incontinence.
*If your physician is not familiar with this form of treatment I would be happy to provide them information regarding our treatment protocols.
In the state of Massachusetts you have access to this treatment by a registered nurse with a referral from your physician. Your insurance may also require a physician referral in order to be covered for the treatment.
Please note:
If you come to me without a physician's order I will assess your condition and get you started on treatment protocols that do not require a doctor's order. This may include a personalized pelvic floor fitness program, dietary modification, and pelvic fitness assignments, which will be taught in trainings You will be provided your program in diagram format in order to obtain optimum results.

2. Tell them what you have learned about PFMT being an effective treatment for incontinence.
